TVS-E Q3 Revenues grow 7%, Printers sustains market leadership as it grows 27% |

Chennai, January 25, 2006 – TVS Electronics
Limited announced the results for the quarter
ended December 31st 2005 today. The company has
reported revenue of Rs.73.77 Crs for this period
as against revenue of Rs.68.44 Crs in the
corresponding quarter in 2004.
The company also reported a PAT of Rs.43 Lacs in
this period as against Rs.38 Lacs reported
during the previous period. The company achieved
6.5% EBITDA against 4.35% during OND 2004
quarter through significant cost reduction
programs.
TVS-E sustained its leadership position in Dot
Matrix Printers further with a market share of
42% as it shipped over 45,000 units during this
quarter. In the keyboards category the company
had its best performance ever as it delivered
over 100,000 units. In the set top box category
the company shipped over 15,000 units for both
cable and satellite customers.
Major orders won during this quarter included
LIC, State Bank of India and Tamil Nadu Rural
Development among others.
TVS-E was ranked third among the TOP Indian IT
Brands by PC quest, moving up five positions
over the previous year.
The exports business realized revenues of
Rs.19.76 Crs, a growth of over 39% over the same
period last year. The company’s new multi
lingual call centre at Tumkur is now fully
operational and will help grow its contract
customer support business in the coming
quarters.

Srinivasan, Director, TVS Electronics Limited

access products. Our cost improvement programs
including new manufacturing facility in Himachal
Pradesh have yielded rich dividends and our
focus will now be in bringing new products to
