TVS-E Q1 PAT up by Rs.8.5 crores |

Chennai, 31st July 2007: TVS Electronics
announced the unaudited Q1 results for the
quarter ended 30th June 2007. The company earned
revenue of Rs.56.58 crores during the first
quarter and registered a growth of 7.4% as
compared to the corresponding quarter in the
previous year. The PBT was Rs 7.36 Crores as
compared to loss of Rs 2.55 Crores of the
corresponding quarter in the previous year. Net
sales for the quarter ended June 2007 grew by
4.9% to Rs 53.84 crores up from Rs.51.34 Crores
in the corresponding quarter in the previous
year. The PAT after considering exceptional item
of sale of CMS business at Tumkur during the
quarter improved to Rs.6.33 Crores from a loss
of Rs.2.17 Crores in the corresponding quarter
in the previous year.
The company’s recently launched Pro Series
printers for retail segment received wide
acceptance by both in SME and Institutional
customers. The company currently enjoys 38%
share in the Dot Matrix Printer market.
The Contract Customer Support (TVS-E Service tec)
registered an impressive growth of 50% when
compared with the corresponding quarter in the
previous year.
Commenting on the company’s performance Mr.
Gopal Srinivasan, Director, TVS Electronics

products as Transaction products and our focus
will be to launch new products and new service
offerings in this space. Our sustained efforts
on TQM will continue to improve efficiencies.
During the quarter, we have received “Brand of
Excellence” Award from VAR India. |
